Honoring the Legacy of Mrs. Ruth Wanyana Njuki

It is with heavy hearts that we at WorldHope Corps (WHC) share the news of the passing of Mrs. Ruth Wanyana Njuki, a remarkable figure in the history of Uganda and the cherished mother of our own Dr. Caroline Njuki, who serves diligently on the WHC USA board as a program coordinator.

Mrs. Njuki’s life was celebrated with a funeral service at St. Nuwa Sserwanga Church in Makerere Kikoni on July 5, 2024, at 2 PM, attended by family, friends, and community members who have been touched by her legacy. A vigil was held in the evening at her residence on George Serwada Road, Makerere Kikoni, and her journey was commemorated with a burial the following day, July 6, 2024, at the Kabali burial grounds in Lugo.

Pastor Baamu Moses (representing WHC Uganda and WHC USA) and other key figures from our Uganda Shalom team attended these solemn events, standing in solidarity with Dr. Njuki and her family during this challenging time.

As we mourn the loss of Mrs. Njuki, we also hold in our thoughts Mr. Steven Kabala, chairman of the Shalom Coffee Cooperative in Mbale, who is currently facing serious health challenges. We extend our prayers for his recovery and well-being.
